  • Venue:Fusion
  • Length:07:00 pm

StephanDrews Band is a keys-driven band from Southeastern Wisconsin with sultry female vocals and haunting harmonies in a jazz folk context. Stephanie Martin is the lead singer and songwriter. Stephanie’s husband, Andrew Martin, leads the instrumentation with keyboard and synth accents. Andrew also assists Stephanie with some of the song-writing. The two arrange the music together. The pair has been writing music since 2007, and performing covers long before that. Their style is influenced by musicians like Regina Spektor, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, and Norah Jones.
The first studio recording the band created was a four original-song demo recorded in 2008 by Paul Vnuk at Moss Garden Music in Racine County, WI. Their latest endeavor is the album entitled Where All This Came From. It contains re-recorded versions of two of the songs from the afore-mentioned demo; one of them being the title track for the album, as well as nine other new original songs. The album is set for release in March of 2015. Other musicians joining them on their debut album are Adam VanKoningsveld on bass, Bill Ammann on drums, and Chris Ammann on guitar. Chris Ammann also did the recording, mixing, and mastering on the album. It was recorded in Buffalo Grove, IL.
The husband and wife duo have played a variety of venues including coffee shops, bistros, bars, art shows, church events, weddings, fund-raisers, funerals, and festivals; sometimes with a band, and sometimes just the two of them. They have played in Northeastern Iowa, Chicago, and locations through-out Southeastern Wisconsin. They hope to expand their reach in the near future. www.stephandrewsbandmusic.com
